OK - so I was all ready to do a post on a polish today, but I've just run out of oomph.

Oomph meaning "Out Of Meaningful Polish H...um...H...Uh..." are you getting that I just can't put two words together today?

So since it's Friday and I haven't done any Friday Funnies in a while, I thought I'd do a music post.

I recently dropped a load *snigger* of money on iTunes for some essential 80's stuff my collection was lacking. Including these two little gems from the first album I ever owned - Bananarama's "WOW".

And may I just say - I was 10. I didn't know what I was doing. Plus everyone else was doing it.

Also in my defence - Siobhan went on to found Shakespeare's Sister, which was badass.

Simple Minds. Incomprehensible video, but man, the hook in this is killer.

Feargal Sharkey. Most people know him for "A Good Heart", but I actually like this song better for some reason. And it has nothing to do with the drummer in the red shirt looking like Paula Deen Riding Things ;)

Daft Punk might owe him some kind of royalties for that staircase action as well...

And if I was going to buy Debbie's solo stuff, I couldn't very well pass on this. But don't ask me why there's a naked guy carrying a biplane. Just don't.

More Simple Minds. Get your lighters ready!

The Models. Great Australian band not really known outside our country. I cannot resist singing along to the chorus of this. "And yoooooou - hold on to what you got!"

The Models again. SEX! Sexiness! Sexnificance! Well you get it. It's kinda sexy.

Another Aussie band - Boom Crash Opera. Such a rousing, stomping chorus, you have to bellow along. We can shake the trees and earth, baby.

Oh gawd, oh gawd, oh gawd! The most AWESOME song! If you can't bounce around your lounge room to this chorus, you may be dead. You certainly can't be well.

So that's what I spent my money on this week. Dollars well invested, I say :)
